Why the EBW Psychometric Assessment is Worth Your Time and Investment

The EBW (Emotions and Behaviours at Work) psychometric assessment is being used to great effect throughout the United Kingdom.

Clients include the NHS, the Home Office, Marks and Spencer, L’Oreal, Johnson and Johnson, and many more.

There are several success stories on the EBW website, which I will link to at the end of this article.

The assessment measures the eight traits that predict success in the workplace:

Motivation, adaptability, decisiveness, empathy, self-awareness, influence, conscientiousness, and resilience.

I mean, seriously, who wouldn’t want to know how they measure up in each of those traits?  It’s pure gold!

Anyway, it matters, and I will tell you why.  Companies have seen results such as the following:

An energy company had over 70% of their staff report increased confidence, focus, and ability to communicate clearly.

Feedback included the following:

Better teamwork, better cooperation—and that leads to better outcomes.”
“I’m now more proactive in how I engage colleagues and express my views.”

Springboard Consultancy used the EBW in a management development programme for senior women in the Home Office in the UK.

After the programme, the results were incredible: ‘nearly 90% of participants reported that they understood and managed their emotions and key behaviours better at the end of the programme. This was an increase from less than 70% before the management development programme began.’  Taken from the EBW Website https://www.ebwglobal.com/articles/improving-diversity-by-developing-emotional-intelligence-in-female-leaders

Finally, recruitment firm Hy-phen used the EBW to improve its volume recruitment campaigns.  Steria, a European provider of IT solutions, tasked Hy-phen to interview 200 candidates for them; they needed to do it efficiently and effectively.  Steria and Hy-phen used the EBW because it enabled them to identify candidates who:

  1. Were more likely to stay with the company for a more extended period, reducing the turnover rate and saving the company time and money on recruitment.

  2. Were more likely to perform well in their job. Managers have reported this has led to increased productivity, better job performance, and higher job satisfaction.

If you are in any doubt about whether the EBW is a valuable tool, I would suggest you go to the following link and read some of the success stories listed.

I have used it successfully with teams and individuals. It will improve productivity, professionalism and engagement in your organisation.
