Get Disruptive Teams To Perform Again

Team performance arises time and again in conversations I have with my clients. Individuals who do not feel part of a team perform less effectively (obviously) and may suffer from stress and anxiety.  Yet it is one of the least addressed issues in the workplace. Managers assume that a team will work together and support each other.  However, in competitive environments, teams can often suffer from the ‘every man for himself’ syndrome.

Sometimes when I am working with an individual and they are telling me about the dynamics of the team in which they work, I am astonished at the level of dysfunction they describe.

Teams that don’t communicate, teams that don’t support each other.  Teams that are being disrupted by one difficult colleague.  The list goes on.

An organisation depends upon the integrity of its teams.  A high functioning collaborative team is the difference between success and failure.
